I might put my forum into maintenance mode from time to time for times when I am not feeling good I will open it back up. I thought I would just let you know I have bad days where I need to take a step back.

I thought I would just let you know I have bad days where I need to take a step back. No need but if that is what you need to do then...But I have been an admin to 4 forums as well as a mod. (have experience) Going into MM inhibits growth and members get turned off. Better to leave it open and simply walk away. When you do come back you can spend time on cleanup....will keep you busy and motivated.  |

maybe an idea would be, while the forum is closed, to send one or two email updates letting us all know how you are, and when you aim to be back open
best of both worlds: you get your time away, and you don't need to lose members because they are in the loop with what's going on
